How to Detox Your Life
January is the month of the detox. There are countless articles, recipes and challenges, all about how to start the new year on the right foot when it coms to eating and working out. But sometimes you just gotta detox your whole life..and it's easier than it seems.
This one is the most obvious so let's get it out of the way at number one. Less screen time is likely gonna lead to more productive activities (hello books, my old friend) and gives you a break from mindless scrolling. Easiest way to do it? Set a timer. Allow yourself to indulge in Instagram stories and twitter nonsense for a set amount of time (suggestion: 20 minutes) then once the timer goes off, shut it down and walk away. Leave your phone in the other room and participate in a new activity.

3. Body Work
Notice a pattern? We're funneling from the outside in. Your mind, body and soul need lovin'. Get a massage, see your chiropractor, go to a yoga class. Wring out your organs, move, and get adjusted. Open your body up, especially when it's cold out. Let your organs breathe.
Lastly, what we're actually putting into our bodies has a major effect on how we live our lives and how we feel every day. Definitely sip on water, but also replenish with hydrating foods such as cucumbers, berries and leafy greens.
